My main medium as an artist is clay which I only occasionally use to create figurative pieces. The majority of my work is ceramic vessels. For me Life drawing has a meditative quality as it takes great concentration to attempt to capture the human form. I am fascinated by the effect that light can have in altering our perception of form. My favourite figurative artist is Henry Moore as his sculptural forms are for me the ultimate interpretation of the human condition and I never tire of looking at his fantastically pared down forms.
